Master Kevin Watson (Sole Inheritor of Kaju Ryu Jujitsu) has been a practitioner in the martial arts for well over two decades.  His exposure into the arts began at the early age of 8.  A lot of his influence and knowledge in the ways of combat came from his father Martin Watson Jr.-(Marine Vietnam Vet.) and of course his older brother the late Soke Kyle Watson Sr.-(Kaju Ryu Jujitsu Founder) who in turn taught him how to not only teach but to adapt in any given combative situation.  " Martial Expression Can Only Be Reached By Ones Will To Adapt and Overcome" not only became a creed but a way of life for Master Kevin Watson.  He has had the oppurtunity to meet and train with such greats as Soke Kyle Watson Sr., Master Brad Marshall, Sifu Phillip Starr, Sifu Vince Hardy, Master Julius Melegrito, Master Rod Williams, Carlson Gracie Jr., William De Thouars, Professor Darrel Sarjeant, Master Robert Kennedy, Master Frank Soto, and many other greats.

Along with the arts he has a love and passion for the things of God and the piano. He is a lucky husband to his wife Aisha Watson and a loving father to his 3 children Tamia, Tiana, and Darius.

Grandmaster Ernest Hallett

Ernest Hallett was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York in the early 1950’s and exposed to the art of self-defense by his older brother Walter Hallett Jr. in the mid 1960’s.  Ernest began his formal martial arts training as a young adult in 1972 primarily studying Japanese Shotokan and Jujitsu while going through the ranks at the Tompkins School of Self-Defense in the Bedford-Stuyvesant section of Brooklyn.  Ernest was also exposed to the Vee-Jitsu system of self defense under the tutelage of the Late Professor Florendo Visitation (Professor Vee).

Ernest taught Shotokan and Jujitsu at a community center in the Bushwick section of Brooklyn to school-aged children, taught an adult class in Bed-Sty as well as occasionally assisted his brother Walter who was also running a dojo in Brooklyn.

The late Soke Kyle Watson Sr., Ernest’s oldest nephew, often said he was inspired to study martial arts at an early age.  When Kyle was advancing through the ranks himself Ernest served as his mentor; while Kyle was creating the Kaju Ryu Jujitsu System of Self Defense Ernest served as his advisor.  In October 2009 Ernest returned to live in Omaha, became a co-instructor with Soke Kyle Watson and his brother, co-founder of Kaju Ryu Jujitsu, Master Kevin Watson.   Since Soke Kyle Watson Sr.’s untimely passing Ernest now shares a common goal with Master Kevin Watson…Keep Kyle’s dream alive, help advance the dojo  and continue teaching its students how best to respond to potentially adverse situations.
